"I hate it. But I love it." - Tony Horton

TV Travel shows. nothing pokes my wanderlust like people showing me places around the world. There is nothing like wanderlust to fill me with frustration that I don't have the resources to just leave a responsible-ish adult lifestyle to well... wander. Yet I cannot pull myself away from them. I'm hooked. I watch season after season, series after series. Compulsively. I am always very easily and very whole-heartedly seduced by smiling faces, delicious food, and learning about the subtleties of different histories and point of views.

I think it is because I get a little glimpse of people who are not me.

I like asking people to talk about themselves. 1. It makes people like me because people like to talk about themselves 2. It is an open gateway into questions about how they see the world and themselves in said world.

I see myself as a superhero.

Haha. I do not.

My ego is bigger than that :P

But seriously. I think people appreciate me listening. And I appreciate people feeling safe enough with me to continue talking.

And in our little community of 7 billion people... how awesome to hear how we all fit in with each other and build together on this tiny little planet of ours :D

sure, I don't agree with everyone about economics, politik, religion, fair trade, skinny jeans, etc. but as long as I'm respectfully agreeing to disagree... people are cool with that. and I'm cool with them disagreeing.

:D Increase the dialogue! and Increase your ears! :D

Salut monde! je veux t'attendre!
